1970’s: Vlacho Orlic and Aleksandar Sajfert. The brilliant coaches

Two great coaches that set the basis of the success of Yugoslav Water Polo.
Vlacho Orlic (onthe left) is the famous coach of Partizan Belgrade, six time winner of the European Champions Cup and National coach into the Munich 1972 and Montreal 1976 Olympic Games. He is considered as the mentor of quite a few successful coaches such as Nicola Stamenic and Ratko Rudic.
Aleksandar Sajfert (on the right) has been the coach of Yugoslavia winner of the gold medal in Mexico 1968 Olympic Games.The Yugoslav water polo team achieved their first Olympic triumph in Mexico, the seventh Games they took part in, following three second places (Helsinki 1956, Melbourne 1956 and Tokyo 1964).
