Peter Rusoran: The gentleman from Hungary

Peter Rusoran started to play Water Polo in 1948. He played in the National team of Hungary, for over 10 years, participating into 103 International games. An excellent player, member of Hungarian team, bronze winner in Rome, 1960 Olympic Games and Olympic Champion in Tokyo, 1964 Olympic Games. After retiring as a player in 1973, he became coach at the team of “Vasas, Budapest” winning 7 National and 3 European titles. Peter Rusoran is considered as one of the most successful and respectable coaches. During his long coaching carrier he won 13 National titles with 3 different Club teams: 7 Hungarian Championships with “Vasas Budapest”, 3 Greek with “Ethnicos Piraeus” and finaly 3 more as coach of "Spandau 04, Berlin". On 1984, he became National coach of Hungary, missing though Los Angeles Olympic Games due to Hungary’s boycott to the Games.
