The great Pyotr Mshvenieradze in action

Shooting action sequences of the Soviet Pyotr Mshvenieradze . The images have been captured by the famous Hungarian coach Bela Rajki and published into the 1979 issue of International Water Polo magazine.
Here is what Rajki was saying about Pyotr Mshvenieradze :
“He was the best player of the Soviet National tem, one of the most striking personalities in the Water Polo world, undoubtedly the world’s best centre forward. His physical attributes, tremendous strength and ball handling ability make him capable of brilliant technical feats. His only weakness is that he does not move about during play. He does not like to swim….”
