Ruud van Feggelen: The distinguished Dutch

Ruud van Feggelen, born in 1923 was the successor of Frans Kuyper into the bench of the Dutch team. As a player of Nederland’s National team Ruud van Feggelen competed at London, 1948 Olympic Games winning the bronze and Helsinki (1952). He was member of the Dutch team at the European Championships in Monaco (1947), Vienna (1950-gold winner) and Turin (1954). His coaching carrier with the Dutch National team started in Leipzig, 1962 European Championships (8th). He led also the team at Tokyo, 1964 Olympic Games (7th), Utrecht, 1966 European Championships (8th). He concluded his commitment with the Dutch team at Mexico, 1968 Olympic Games (7th). Ruud van Feggelen passed away in 2002.
