The
sixth edition of the
Mediterranean Games were held in
Smyrna (Izmir), Turkey from
6 to 17 October, 1971. Yugoslavia won the
gold at the Water Polo competition, while
Italy was second and Spain third. The team of Yugoslavia: Dušan Antunović, Siniša Belemarić, Dejan Dabović, Jakov Džoni, Zoran Janković, Ronald Lopatni, Uroš Marović, Miroslav Poljak, Ratko Rudić, Mirko Sandić, Milovan Tomić.
