The results of the Spanish team were: Eliminatory: Spain vs Brasil: 3-2, Quarter Finals: Belgium - Spain: 5-4, Spain - South Africa: 3-1, Spain - Brazil: 6-4, Semifinals: Spain - Italy: 1-2, Spain - USA 4-6, Finals 5th to 8th place: Spain - USSR: 3-4 and Spain - Holland: 1-7. Spain at Helsinki has been ranked 8th.
