1929: Speech of E.G.Drigny, FINA’s President

Opening speech of FINA’s President Emile Georges Drigny during the International Water Polo tournament held in Budapest in 1929.
Emile Georges Drigny (1883-1957) has been President of FINA from 1928 to 1932; He was also President of LEN (Ligue Europeene de Natation) from 1938 to 1948 and President of the French Swimming Federation from 1942 to 1950; In 1927 he was founder member of LEN; Before WWI, he was a long distance swimmer and in Antwerp 1920 Olympic Games he was member of the French Water Polo team.
