1938: Trimming finger nails…..

“Anything goes in Water Polo…if you can get away with it”: Before the battle the players trim each other’s finger nails. Usually Water Polo is played in pools so that if anyone sinks to the bottom he can be seen and recovered, but the contest is to be played in open water….”.
