The legendary coach from Dubrovnik Trifko Banđur (1931-2011) while coaching the players of VK Jug Dubrovnik. In 1980 Banđur won with Jug Dubrovnik (Luko Vezilic, Duro Savinović, Dubravko Staničić, Božo Vuletić, Veselin Đuho, Boško Lozica, Niko Matušić, Luko Vuletić, Goran Sukno, Ivica Dabrović, Antonio Milat and Gojko Vukašinović ) the Yugoslavian Championship and also the European Cup for National winners. Trifko Banđur in the late 60’s coached the team of Panathinaicos, Greece and in the mid 70’s has been assistant of Vlaho Orlic in the Yugoslavian National team.
